Most people practice in a group. For many
it is the preferred option and is the most affordable
way to practice. However, we do not rent dusty church
halls and cram in thirty plus people! Most
group lessons are around ten to twelve people.
The advantage with individual lessons is that you choose the time and place to suit you. Most individual lessons take place in your home and enable your teacher to devote all of his or her time to progressing your practice, at your speed and your level.
PROGRAMMES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE
More and more young people, between the ages of 6 to sixteen, are practicing yoga. It provides a wonderful way of keeping fit and calms the mind at an age when so many changes and challenges are taking place. Drawing on the techniques of yoga, young people are taught how to handle stress, mood changes and anxiety providing 'time out' to cultivate self-awareness and confidence. Mostly in groups of six to eight, Minna has devised programmes and movement especially for age groups six to 11 and twelve to sixteen.
YOGA FOR MEN
We've lost count of the number of men who ask "Isn't yoga more suitable for women?" The short answer is no. In fact the most famous yogis are men but we do understand that many men would prefer to attend men only classes or have individual lessons, and is why we have a weekly ‘men only’ session.
YOGA IN THE OFFICE
A household-name multinational corporation recently saw profits surge as productivity increased just a few weeks after regular 45 minute lunchtime yoga classes were introduced. If you want to have a more relaxed workforce, energized for the afternoon (a time when output and productivity drops) we have specially designed programmes to do just that.
YOGA AT CONFERENCES & CORPORATE EVENTS
Ever noticed how difficult it can be to keep delegates alert during conferences and corporate events? Scheduled yoga breaks (normally at the beginning of the day or after sessions have finished) are fun, energizing and will be remembered long after your event has finished. In short, yoga has proved to be one of the most cost effective and enjoyable ways of getting the best out of your conference and one that has paid handsome dividends for organizers who wish to combine business sessions with business enhancing activities. YOGA FOR GOLFERS
Both yoga and golf are process driven activities that require a degree of flexibility and mental focus. Yoga For Golfers is a one-hour tailor-made programme for those who wish to improve their body movements. The programme concentrates on those areas of your body you use most when playing. Sadly, the programme cannot guarantee to make you a scratch golfer, but you should be able to reduce your handicap.
